LASER MARKING

LASER MARKING

Working principle

A laser marking machine works by using a concentrated beam of light to create permanent marks on a surface. Controlled by a computer, the laser source generates a high-energy beam that is directed by high-speed mirrors through a focusing lens. When the beam hits the target material, it creates a localized thermal or chemical reaction—such as vaporizing the surface, melting a groove, or changing the color of the material.

Because it is a non-contact process, it offers incredible precision without damaging the surrounding area. Its application range is vast: it is used for serial numbers on metals (steel, aluminum), logos on plastics, date codes on packaging, and intricate designs on leather, wood, or glass. It is the gold standard for industries requiring permanent, high-speed, and ink-free identification.
